In the webpage you can find information about hotels in São Carlos (in the section of
General Information). Except for invited speakers and Scientific Committee members,
every participant has to do their own hotel reservation and then fill in the hotel
information in the registration page. The subject of the email should be "hotel
reservation-13th International Workshop on Real and Complex Singularities" and you
should mention that you are coming to the event in order to get the special ratings.
Special rates are subject to change without notice. Only if you have any problems with
your reservation you can contact the following member of the Organizing Committee:
Bruna Oréfice Okamoto (bruna@dm.ufscar.br).
We are planning on having some transport from the airports of Guarulhos and Viracopos
to São Carlos and back on the weekends before and after the Workshop. The idea is to
have buses leaving Guarulhos (and stopping midway in Viracopos) on Saturday 26th and
Sunday 27th of August at 9:00 a.m. and at 20:00 p.m.. Depending on the number of
participants arriving at certain times we might be able to have another bus leaving in
between those times. Please have this in mind when making your flight reservation and
fill in this information in the registration page. We also recommend you make your
flight reservation as soon as possible since, even though the conference will take
place two weeks after the World Cup, there still might be many people coming to Brazil
on those dates. There will also be information on how to get to São Carlos by ordinary
buses from the airports of Guarulhos and Viracopos in the webpage soon, aswell as maps
of São Carlos and the campus.
We are still applying for funding from different agencies and might be able to cover
some local expenses for participants. However, if anyone can cover their expenses with
their own project funding, this will allow us to help as many young participants as
possible. Please let us know if you can cover your own expenses.
As usual, please resend this message to anyone who might be interested in the event and
sorry for cross-posting!
We hope to see you all soon in São Carlos, best wishes,
Raúl Oset Sinha and Ana Claudia Nabarro (on behalf of the Organizing Committee).
